blasted down to columbus the other weekend, beautiful,crisp fall day. Stopped in Mt. Victory on my way back at this old service station. I have a thing for old Gulf memorabilia. Good 200 mile day in sunny 40 degree temps, prolly the nicest day of riding left this year.

As some of you know, my Ironhead digger, the Chickenhead, is no longer 'mine', but rather Nick'S (from this blog) now. I am wrapping up a complete re-do on the old girl, and this is where I'm at. After a LOT of bondo dust and sore fingers, the frame and tins have all been dipped in some glossy PPG goodness. Will be adding some Jeff McCann style gold leaf scroll work and a bit of pinstriping to tie it all together.

Often times I become discouraged with life, chopper people & motorcycles in general. I mean let's face it bikes have a way of bringing you to low lows & high highs. Add the internet people who are into motorbikes and it can become maddening if you allow it. Its then I recall the great interweb gift of the Goggle image search.... Instantly your feelings of inadequacy, silliness or pride can be wiped away when you see some of the things that  make the top 10 of your search.... Behold

are this weekend, hitting the road early Saturday morning, which should put us @ camp early afternoon, and hopefully allow us some time to go canoe-ing! Oregonia is ALWAYS a good time, and one of the last good weekends to camp out before it gets chilly. Come celebrate my Dirty 30th b-day, along with damn near everyone elses... Hillclimbs are Sunday @ 1:00, but get there early to check out all the cool bikes in the parking lot!
